Monumental Re-envisioning

Since the murder of George Floyd May 25, 2020, the United States has been forced to address its racial divide. This examination manifests itself in Richmond, Virginia with the re-envisioning of the Confederate statues situated on Monument Avenue.

Today, Wednesday September 8, 2021, the State of Virginia removed the last remaining Confederate monument, that of General Robert E. Lee, the largest and most symbolic of the Confederate statues in the US.
